KPOP sensation EXO is returning to Kuala Lumpur on 7th July with EXO PLANET #4 The EℓyXiOn at Axiata Arena at 5PM. Ticket launch officially took place today at 11a.m., at Atria Shopping Gallery. An overwhelming crowd of over 1,500 people flocks in to the mall, competing for a chance to grab the tickets before they’re all gone.
The Malaysia gig made headlines across major newspapers and online media ever since the announcement was made a week ago. Fans are also seen queuing up outside the mall five days ahead of the ticket launch date, in hope to be the first few to purchase the tickets.
The event was schedule to end at 5pm but extended to 7pm to serve the large crowd. Within 8 hours, over 80% of all tickets are sold, with Rock zone (RM748), CAT 1 (RM748) and CAT 6 (RM228) announced sold out at the launch. Online booking is scheduled to start next day, 13th May, at 11am via www.myticket.asia. Phone booking begins 14th May, 10am. The organizer is confident that the show may sold out within a short period.
300 100PLUS contest winners were selected in advance and were rewarded with “100PLUS Pass” which entitle the winners to purchase tickets at the launch via a Privilege Lane with 10% discount on ticket(s).
EXO PLANET #4 - The EℓyXiOn – was held in Seoul with three-night concerts in November last year, housing a whopping 66,000 audiences. The group then traveled to Japan, Taipei, Singapore, Bangkok and Manila, with tickets all snapped up in a flash. The Kuala Lumpur gig will be the tour’s last stop before wrapping up.
The concert theme “EℓyXiOn,” is inspired by the word “Elysium,” which symbolize a Utopia, an ideal space habitat of perfect happiness where only the chosen ones are granted entry. Hence, the theme of the concert will see EXO members in search of the ideal land, presented through a splendid stage production that will promise a world-class lighting and visual effects.
EXO is ranked as one of the top 5 most influential celebrities on the Forbes Korea Power Celebrity list from 2014 to 2018 and have been named "the biggest boyband in the world" and the "Kings of K-pop" by the media. Selling more than million albums for 4 albums consecutively, EXO crowned quadruple Million Seller.
