For those who love ramen, have you heard? Seungri's popular Japanese Ramen restaurant, Aori Ramen is finally open for business in Malaysia on 9th June 2018. BIGBANG’s Seungri made an announcement last November that he was bringing his South Korean famous Japanese Ramen joint to our country. Local foodies can now find out what all the fuss is about when they visit Aori Ramen.
Previously, posts on Aori Ramen Malaysia’s Instagram account announced that they would be opening in February or April 2018 but it has been delayed. Now, Aori Ramen had officially announced on their Instagram that the 40th branch of Aori Ramen will open on June 9th Saturday in Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur and we can’t be more excited! Aori Ramen had confirmed that this is a NON-HALAL restaurant.
Aori Ramen was full house on the first day of opening. They had fully sold out for the whole day. Due to overwhelming respond, their lunch service have to temporarily suspended. They resume their business at 6:30PM. Even though it is a NON-HALAL restaurant, but still many Non Muslims Ramen Lovers went there to support Seungri's Japanese Ramen restaurant, Aori Ramen.
Aori Ramen is heading to the biggest and hottest shopping center 'Pavilion' in KL Malaysia. Located at the top floor of Pavilion KL, Aori Ramen gave us the impression that we were entering a legit South Korean restaurant.
Aori Ramen KL branch is located at Lot 6.36, Level 6, Pavilion KL 168 Jalan bukit bintang, 55100 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. They are open for business starting from 10:00AM to 10:00PM.
The restaurant has numerous cubicles (great for introverts like me) that allows you to store your belongings. According to the owner, Pavilion’s Aori Ramen can take in up to 60 customers per session.
Besides single booths, they have a few table for a group of customers and also two VIP rooms for VIP customers, but they have more single booths.
Aori Ramen is best known for its signature main dish – Don Kotz Ramen. It’s a traditional Hakata-style ramen with a barbequed marinated pork-based broth that has chashu pork belly, marinated soft boiled egg with bamboo shoot, Japanese bunching onion and dried seaweed. The pork bones soup is both rich and flavourful, and it comes with their 1.1mm Hoso noodles.
There are only two option of Ramen in the menu, Aori Ramen lite (RM31) and Aori Ramen (RM35). The latter dish comes with additional marinated soft boiled egg, dried seaweed, and marinated bamboo shoot.
The side menu also offers another speciality. TKG (Tamago Kake Gohan) is a traditional Japanese staple that comes with white rice, an egg yolk and Aori Ramen’s special topping. You can also ask for more add-ons such as Korean-leek kimchi (RM3) and beansprout (RM3).
